What is Dermaplaning & Oil Planing?

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive skincare treatment that gently exfoliates the skin by removing dead skin cells and fine facial hair (peach fuzz) using a sterile surgical blade. Oil planing is a variation of dermaplaning that involves applying a lightweight facial oil before the exfoliation process. This added step helps reduce friction, making the treatment even gentler on the skin while providing additional hydration and nourishment. It is particularly beneficial for those with sensitive or dry skin.

COURSE FORMAT

Online Learning: Within 24 hours of registration, you will be sent your E-Book containing skin histology, contraindications, client consultation, protocols, and post-treatment care. You will also receive a call to schedule your in-person practical session. The practical session will take 5 hours.

Hands-On Training: Attend this in-person session where you will practice dermaplaning techniques on 2 live models. You are required to bring 2 models for your practical session. Complete the theory and thoroughly study the content at your own pace prior to your hands-on training.

During the hands-on portion, Brenda will perform a full demonstration on a live model, allowing you to observe, take notes, ask questions, and record for future reference. Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to perform the complete service under her guidance, ensuring that your technique, pressure, and positioning are refined and comfortable for safe and efficient dermaplaning.

2. Course Rescheduling

If you are unable to attend your scheduled training, we may offer one-time rescheduling at our discretion, depending on availability. Rescheduling requests must be made at least 7 days before the course date.

3. Course Cancellation by Us

In the rare event that we need to cancel or reschedule a course due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be given the option to transfer to a future date at no additional cost.
